/Asphyxia & CHOKING, Hanging
Usually caused by an attempted suicide. Depending on length of time the body has been hanging, resuscitation may not be effective.


TREATMENT: Cut rope suspending body & gently lower to ground. Release all clothing & any restriction around neck. Check for {carotid pulse} & breathing.
Call for medical assistance urgently.
